If there’s one thing I love to hear about, it’s that organisations like the Armidale PCYC which helps hundreds of local youths each year get a break every now again, and the financial support they need to remain up to date and operational for the young people of our community.
I was delighted to read recently that the Armidale PCYC will be receiving substantial financial and physical hands on support, to upgrade the facilities to include basketball court improvements, full-time child care area, café, vegetable garden, graffiti and street art gallery, youth conference room, recording studio, in-house cinema, workshops, hip hop dances and a multi media centre.
This in itself will be a huge boost to the younger people of our community and provide them with a modern facility that caters to their needs. I do look forward to seeing the works in action when Paul Harrigan, NRL personality formerly of the Knights leads a team of people in the transformation of the Club.
The working bee will be held on the 18th and 19th of March, and community members are urged to pitch in. If you’ve got time and ability, please contact the PCYC directly on 02 6772 1023.
