National Youth Week will be taking place from April 13 -22 and in Armidale there will be a number of events on during the week to help celebrate the younger residents living in our community.
One of the more popular of the events held during Youth Week, is the “Youth Awards” which celebrates the valuable contributions that our young people have made for the Armidale community.
At the Armidale Youth Awards, young people are recognised for their achievements in things like community service, overcoming adversity and providing exceptional services to our local clubs, societies and groups.
The awards provide a great way to help celebrate and inspire the young people of Armidale and if you are interested in nominating a young person for the awards or attending the awards night you can find more details about the night at the Armidale Dumaresq Council website.
Other activities that are being held in Armidale to help celebrate Youth Week include a Youth Week Photography Competition; a scavenger hunt; Armidale Open Day; Police Station Open Day; and a Blue Light Disco. Information about these events can also be found at the Armidale Dumaresq Council website.
National Youth Week is an event that everyone in the community can take part in, whether you’re old or young, and it’s all about recognising the achievements of our younger residents and celebrating our next generation of talented young people.
