Armidale Residents Reminded To Update Enrolment Details

Armidale’s local government elections aren’t too far away, with this year’s election being held on Saturday September 8, and so it’s important that local residents check that their enrolment details are up-to-date.

Armidale voters only have until Monday July 30, to make sure that they are enrolled to vote and that all of their enrolment details are correct. You can check where you are currently enrolled and enrol to vote online at www.elections.nsw.gov.au.

It’s important for local residents to remember that voting is a legal requirement for all Australian citizens aged 18 years and over.

Voting doesn’t take up much time and it is an important opportunity for everyone living in Armidale to have a say about who should be making decisions for our region.

If you will be turning 18 before the upcoming election or if you’ve just moved then you need to enrol to vote or update your details with the NSW Electoral Commission before the July 30 deadline.

For anyone living in Armidale who is looking for further information about this year’s local government elections, you can visit the Armidale Dumaresq Council website or the NSW Electoral Commission website.
