Residents in Armidale will be celebrating Christmas in July this year, with a Guide Dog Fundraising Ball to be held at the end of the month.

The night will feature traditional Christmas fare, live entertainment, a charity auction, Santa, bon bons and dancing, with the aim of the event being to help raise funds for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT and their work into establishing a guide dog breeding colony and continuing their guide dog training program.

Two Armidale women, Deb and Jenny, are the organisers behind the event and they will be climbing Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro in November this year. Before they take on this extremely challenging trek, they have pledged to help raise $30,000 to support Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.

The event will be a great chance to help a fantastic cause, support two very passionate locals and have a fun night out too.

The Christmas in July Ball for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT will be taking place on July 28 at 6:30pm at the Armidale City Bowling Club.
