Hello Domain Readers.

When people think about working in Real Estate, the y usually only think of Sales. I guess when people stop and have that thought everyone’s “vision” will be different. To me this is a problem in itself. There are so many different roles and functions within the industry that I believe we miss out on quality people working in real estate because after all …not everyone is a salesperson!!!

Yes sales is the so called “glamour” position! However there are many just as important or more important roles within a real estate office.  These can include: Reception,  Trust Account Manager,  Administration,  Property Officer,  Property Manager,  Strata Manager, Commercial Manager, Business Development Manager. Personal Assistant and the list goes on and on. So while you may not feel a salesperson role is for you,  there are many other roles within the industry that may well suit you.

if your dream is still to work as a salesperson,  starting in another role may help you transition. I have always respected and admired those who have worked their way through various positions within the industry only to end up in sales and they often make a very well rounded salesperson and do very well.

So if you are thinking of career in real estate; remember there is more than just one role.
