Hello Readers.
There has been some very interesting idea’s floated recently in NSW in relation to housing affordablility. Many of these idea’s have been around for a long time however with a new state premier some of these ideas are getting more steam. One “idea” is to reduce stamp duty.
Would the reduction of stamp duty make housing affordibilty easier ?
I personally believe it would, especially as buyers need to save that money on top of deposits and other associated costs . A stamp duty reduction would likely off-set the higher lending costs for investors also which may see more investors enter the maket.
Regardless of what happens it is certainly a topic that needs attenion.
On Another Note:
It is extremely important to feel comfortable with your agent and work out a makreting plan that your happy with. Remember as the seller you have a lot of creative control with regards to your marketing, so if for instance if you don’t feel comfortable with having a “for sale sign” you don’t have too. Communication with your agent is key and ceratinly don’t feel as if you can’t voice your ideas and concerns.
